What if I don't know my pressure level or massage type I would like?

Selecting the right massage is important as it ensures you, the client, receives customized care that addresses your exact needs. Some clients prefer soft pressure while others like it deeper. Please communicate upfront with your massage therapist you are not sure the amount of pressure you enjoy, so the therapist can help you explore and select which pressure and massage style works for you. We will begin you off with light pressure and take the pressure up slowly as your body acclimates to the massage. Feel free to ask for more or less pressure at any time.

Can I select my massage therapist?

You most definitely can. You can request for a specific therapist by name or request for a male or female therapist. We want to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed.

Do I have to take all my clothes off?

Depends on what service you choose. All massages except chair and traditional Thai requires everything above the waist to be taken off due to the usage of oil and lotion. Short pants or underwear can be worn. We keep you covered the whole time and only expose the area we work on. We always go off of your comfort level, so please feel free to advise us or raise any concerns.

Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?

We take pregnant clients after the first trimester. Please inform the massage therapist about your pregnancy before the session starts.

How old do I have to be to get a massage?

Massages can be received starting from infant level. If under 18, a parent signature is required.

Do you take walk-ins?

We take walk-ins, but if you want to secure a time slot call or text ahead for an appointment time. You can always call or text us right before coming in.

How can I prepare for my massage?

It’s advised to not consume alcohol 24 hours prior to your massage session or eat a heavy meal two to three hours before your massage session. It’s important to hydrate, but be cautious on how much you drink so that you don’t have to use the restroom during the massage session.

Can I get a massage if I just got a tattoo?

We can work around the tattoo.

Can I get a massage after surgery?

Please ask your doctor for post-operative care measures. It is important to take the right amount of time to heal before coming in. Waiting time is case by case, so please check with your doctor beforehand.

Can massage help after surgery? If so, what kind of massage?

Depends on what type of surgery you received, and it’s very important to follow doctor’s post-operative care. Lymphatic massage is a popular one because it helps reduce inflammation, swelling, and release toxins. With clearance from doctor, lymphatic drainage helps to decrease inflammation and swelling which in turn helps to increase recovery time of sutures and bruising.

Is it safe to get a massage if I have an injury?

Depends on the severity and condition of the injury. In the first 24-72 hours of the injury, massage is not recommended because the body is trying to heal and is highly inflamed. Massaging during that time could worsen the injury. Massage should be avoided on freshly torn ligaments or muscles, broken bones, and cuts. It’s important to always ask your doctor, chiropractor, and physical therapist if massage is recommended and what type of massage.

If I have a skin problem or sensitivity, am I still allowed to have a massage?

Please let us know about any skin problems, product sensitives, and skin related allergies. Consult with a doctor first if it’s a specific skin issue.
